A slice of tomorrow

Slice of LIfe Part of Slice of Life by Two Writing Teachers.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow I will wake up early
or on time
I will peacefully pack lunches
I will remember to pack mine

Tomorrow I will have time to stop for coffee
and I will have time to drink it

Tomorrow I will save energy for making dinner
and cleaning up

Tomorrow I will talk in a way that
helps my children listen

Tomorrow I will smile
Tomorrow I will say yes

Tomorrow I will wake up early

  1. Sounds like a great plan! I wonder how many of us could write a similar poem, pretty much every day. I had to laugh at the line about remembering your lunch. Can’t even tell you how many days I have packed lunch, but left it at home.

  2. Hi Carol!
Yes – I forget so many lunches. Sometimes I spend my morning packing lunches for my 3 kids and then realize as I’m leaving that I never even packed my own. Then it’s a kind bar and apple lunch for me!
