We were going to watch a movie, "after the kids fall asleep" You know how that goes, well, all the reasons it doesn't. A 6 year old's shower isn't "quick" The Weird School book is pretty funny The tween finishes just "one more" Fixer Upper on Netflix But mostly, 3 kids want to snuggle I know, I know there will always be movies to watch but there won't always be sweet babies to snuggle I drifted to sleep during the third snuggle Keeping her company the room, dark the music, soft
A sweet poem…I think I am getting sleepy,too…
I can’t believe how often I fall asleep in a kid’s bedroom, stagger out hours later, realize I’m too groggy to do anything fun OR productive, and just go to bed. Yes, I know how that goes!
Yes, there will always be movies to watch – seeing as mine have long flown the coop and I’ve got tons of evenings to watch movies you should definitely savor the snuggles.
I love this! I can very much so relate to the idea that even though sometimes I JUST WANT A LITTLE TIME, my baby won’t want to snuggle forever…
Yes, love that you find a place to capture the feelings that remind us to hold onto the precious moments with our kids.
Absolutely – snuggling always wins! Watching movies in their entirety and drinking a hot cup of coffee without microwaving it two times are things that I’ll appreciate when the kiddos are bigger.
