I am participating in the March Slice of Life Challenge: A slice a day for all of March. You should do it too! Thank you, Two Writing Teachers! Readers, check out their site, and start slicing!
Not such a great day. Swollen son, rushed to ER, there so late, lots of praying. Diagnosis, we think. Off to drive to the specialist in the next 20 minutes. So a Grateful slice…
Thank goodness for…
Good doctors, nice nurses
Close hospitals,
Ultrasounds, IVs,
Quick thinking doctors.
Brave boys, cooperative kids, helpful grandpas,
E says, “Nice mammas too.”
Lots of snuggles, own bed,
helpful team at school.
Quick appointment making
working car, family to watch the dog and kids.
You have the right attitude, when the bigger things are making it tough, take a moment to be grateful for the little things that are not making it worse. Here’s sending some positive vibes to you, and healing vibes to your son. Breathe.
Thanks so much. We have a treatment plan so I am feeling cautiously positive. 🙂
You are so right to take a moment to be grateful that your car works and you have help and your son could come home and sleep in his bed! But that doesn’t make it easier, and your readers are thinking of you and hoping for good outcome.
The line, “E says, nice mommas too” is a great insertion.
Thanks! We had great doctors and I think a plan that will keep him getting better. He was with me, helping me with my slice — I loved his insertion too. 🙂
Wow! That sounds super scary. Bravo to you for the positive attitude of this slice…I think I might be stuck in a vent or rant! Best of luck to you all…
