Look at me! Writing in the morning. In the morning!
My cat wakes me up now, along with my alarm. He pushes things one by one off my nightstand.
The sun wakes me up now, along with my cat. It’s a spring-is-coming sun. The snow seems to finally be melting. It might be green here again soon, instead of never.
My morning coffee-on-the-porch routine seems like it might return soon, instead of never.
Look at me! Writing in the morning.
My coffee is by the window and the sun is shining through. In the morning!

Look at you stretching yourself as a writer in March and extending your borders. I hope you made it to work on time, and I hope that this is the start of more writing in the morning, if that is one of your goals.
I felt so much joy every time you say, “Look at me! Writing in the morning! I’ve been writing all of my posts in the morning, but that means they’ve all been short and I usually think of three things I want to revise by the evening. LOL.
I connect to your joy and pride with the morning! Isn’t it grand to see and feel the sun? The lights on the porch keep it all so real. Loved this piece.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be a morning slicer on a weekday. The sun is amazing today. Now we just need the warmth to go with it.
I love how you composed this piece. It reads as light and airy as I imagine you were feeling!
I love your mug 🙂 also nothing like things falling off the nighstand to jolt you awake! Arent animals just the best!
I love your mug! Also, arent pets just the best? Nothing like a loud noise of something falling off the nightstand to wake you up 🙂
Messy, maybe. Home, absolutely. Thanks for bringing us some literal and figurative sunshine to make this bright and beautiful day brighter and beautifuller. =))
The best part of the year is when the light starts to arrive before I am in my car driving to work. I still wake up in the dark, but now I leave for work in the light. Hooray for sunshine!
