As parents, we are lucky to have FaceTime and so many ways to stay in touch with our adult children. How did our parents do it? I look forward to texts and FaceTime calls from my kids as they find their way in the world. I’m glad you are able to stay connected with your daughter. It sounds like things are going well. The laughter of friends is a bonus.
This. I completely feel this! There’s something warm and wonderful about the different connections we develop with our out-of-the-house kids, and you’ve captured it so beautifully here. I also love that very last line – connected. Through a phone, through the ether, through our hearts…connected. Yes!
