Disappointments on March 14
I don’t blame my kitten, Clyde
for trying to sneak his paw into my cup of oat milk
He can’t even
believe
I have a cookie I won’t share with him
At noon I had a great idea
I’d clean my floors tonight
My evening self
can’t even believe
I thought that
I
can’t even
believe
how often
I have to clean my stovetop
My book is laughing at me from the counter
It can’t
even
believe
I thought I’d read today
What a wonderful and humorous perspective on a busy life and how we can hope to do more than we could ever actually do. Great Writing.
I feel seen. Thank you!
I’m so glad you weren’t the one who was disappointed. My day time self knows better than to plan anything for my evening self to do. I’ve been staying late at school to work on report cards because I know I won’t have the energy to work on them at home. Love the humor in your slice.
I’m still chuckling over this one. I have such big plans every day for what I’ll do “later”. Definitely not happening this week with Daylight Saving Time (and Tuesdays are always tired…). I get this on such a deep level:
I
can’t even
believe
how often
I have to clean my stovetop
