I am participating in the March Slice of Life Challenge: A slice a day for all of March. You should do it too! Thank you, Two Writing Teachers! Readers, check out their site, and start slicing!
Weekend Plans. . . and Reality
My plan: a weekend away
with my tribe
learning at Teachers College
walking New York
Wine, there was going to be wine
My reality: a sick kid
a mom-decision
cleaning at home
missing New York
Whine, there wasn’t supposed to be so much whine
I like how you composed this piece. The contrast of the plan to the reality is very engaging, and I loved the last lines of each section. I’m sorry you missed out on your New York trip but I hope your kid is feeling better soon!
I like your play on words and can relate. But, your child is lucky you were able to change plans. Your slice is short and sweet and filled with emotion! I like it! Welcome to SOL#18! Is it your first year of slicing?
Thanks! Year 5 for me!
I love your play on words. I’m sorry you had to change plans. This mom thing is hard work.
