I did it.
and even though today
Like even these words, friends. Even these thoughts-
Interrupted by people I love needing me
calling my name,
telling me things, asking me things, fighting in the other room…
I did it.
7 Marches, now 8 Marches.
March 2014 March 2015 March 2016 March2017 March 2018 March 2019 March 2020
And this year I finally convinced a group of teachers to write with me.
I’m so proud of them!
Some wrote a handful of times, others wrote each of the 31 days.
Some are “my teachers” I coach
Some are teachers across town
One’s a librarian
One’s an intern
One’s a principal
All of us are
And my coach heart and my writing heart and my teacher heart
are so very very proud.

There’s a lot in your slice to be proud of!
Yeah for us! Thanks for all your encouragement!
Congratulations on all counts! You inspired others and kept yourself going throughout.
From a first year slicer, this end of March celebration is so wonderful! I love reading all the comments of gratitude and praise.
Thank you for inspiring me and others to WANT to do this. We did it! I’ll miss this so much.
Happy YEAR eight! We did it! Thanks for the encouragement–and thanks for finally convincing me to take the leap and blog! It’s been fun!
So fun when you get people in your 3D life to come on in and join the community. Someday I’m going to go back and do a deep dive into all the years of slicing that I have. It’s a lot of Marches!
At the very (coach-teacher-writer) heart of things, you’ve nailed it. The pride, the joy, the growth – it’s all wrapped up here within these lines. I love the first stanza with the interruptions – I can hear. The. Frustration. MOUNT. And yet? You diid it. You did it! Beautifully, I might add.
I am so glad I joined! I really enjoyed getting to read your slices and the whole process. Thanks for inviting me along!
I’m so envious that you convinced people IRL to join you. I’ve never been able to get anyone to do this with me. How did you do it? I want a future slice that outlines your process. Maybe in Feb. of next year. Or do it now while it’s fresh and I’ll save it to my padlet.
oooooo. Good idea! I will try to write about it! I was so excited to have them!
