My Day: True or False

This slice is part of the March Slice of Life Challenge on  Two Writing Teachers! #sol26. I’m slicing every day in March. Thanks for stopping by!

There are some things that are true, there are some things that are false, and you’ll
never really know!

My Day: True or False?

Today I

pressed snooze until 7 a.m.
pushed a heavy laundry basket down the school hallway
carried a heavy laundry basket down the steps
gave myself a carpet dot spot
planned for an very important extra five minutes of instruction
wrote exactly a dozen emails
drank tea in a venti cup with gobs of honey
told a nurse I was using an expired inhaler
gave my cat CBD and yogurt
put my pajamas on before 5 p.m.
bought 11 bananas in 2 bunches
refused to walk my dog in the sunshine
made my students miss the sunshine in favor of unfair recess
texted my ex-husband more than once
took a lie detector test and failed
hid from a rabid fox for as long as I could

Or did I?

I also tried this here, with original inspiration from  EthicalELA: A True or False List Poem . . .

  1. First, I really enjoyed this. Love all the intriguing details…

Second, thanks for the links- I checked them both out. (That box poem is a gut punch.)

Third, I kind of want the answer key! Though I am seeing that that isn’t the point.

Fourth, I think I’ll try it.

  2. Again, I want an answer key. I know that isn’t the point. I enjoyed reading it and trying to guess which was which. Thanks for the links, too. The cardboard box poem gave me chills.
