Yesterday I admitted that I’m not really so good at puzzles.
“You mean you don’t DO puzzles,” they said.
And that’s true. (And sounded just like what my mom says…)
“What do you do instead?” They asked me.
“Instead of puzzles?” I confirmed. Because “What do you do instead?” Is an amazing question.
What do I do instead?
I write.
I try to embroider.
Sometimes I play the piano.
I watch movies.
I read.
What do you do instead?
Great short slice. I like your deliberate use of italics, and your use of line spacing.
What do I do instead – I read, too.
I do puzzles only with my seven-year-old granddaughter – and she’s a whiz at them anyway. Love how you say “try” to embroider – I get it! I read, yes, and watch TV movie series with my husband in the evenings – one of my favorite parts of the day.
I do a few word puzzles, but not jigsaw puzzles. I write. I crochet. I read. I watch movies and news shows. I play and create. Nice post!
That is such an interestingly worded question! Perfect for a slice of life!
I love this question and this dose of perspective. No, you may not be good at X, but you DO do Y really well!
